Furniture Share, serving Linn, Benton and surrounding Counties is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been in operation since 1998. Our mission is to redistribute quality used furniture at no cost to children, families and individuals in need, thus diverting items from the landfill.
Our services provide improved family interactions, increased comfort and safety in homes, improving overall wellness, independence, physical and mental health. In FY 10/11 Furniture Share distributed 10,376 quality used furniture items to 4,549 underserved individuals. In addition to providing this valuable service to our community, Furniture Share also achieves our two fold mission protecting the environment by reducing the amount of furniture in our landfill by 259.4 tons in FY 10/11.
